Rinku Singh has quickly become a star both in the IPL and for the national team. He recently shared the story behind his new tattoo, which symbolises a special moment that changed his life forever.

Rinku became a household name during an IPL 2023 match when Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) took on Gujarat Titans. In a near-impossible situation, Rinku smashed five sixes in a row off Yash Dayal in the final over, leading his team to a shocking victory. This incredible performance, on April 9, 2023, was a turning point in Rinku’s career, making him a hero in Indian cricket.

Just a few months later, on August 18, 2023, Rinku made his debut for India in a T20I match against Ireland, playing under the captaincy of Jasprit Bumrah. His ability to perform under pressure has earned him a key spot in India’s T20I team as a dependable finisher.

The Meaning Behind 'God's Plan' Tattoo

Before India’s T20I series against Bangladesh, Rinku talked about the inspiration behind his new tattoo in a video shared by BCCI. He revealed that his tattoo reads 'God’s Plan' and holds deep personal meaning, representing the five sixes he hit in that famous IPL match. Rinku explained:

“Everyone knows my famous saying, 'God’s plan.' I got it tattooed recently, with a sun around it. It symbolizes those five sixes I hit—two over covers, two straight, and one near my leg. That moment changed my life, and I wanted to honor it with this tattoo.”

Rinku Set To Don The Role Of An Finisher

As Rinku prepares to play in the upcoming T20I series against Bangladesh, his role as a finisher will be important for the team. India will play their first T20I match in Gwalior on Sunday, and the second and third matches are scheduled to take place in Delhi and Hyderabad on October 9 and 12, respectively.
