Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium Pitch Report: Is It Batting Or Bowling Friendly?

Rawalpindi Stadium just like Karachi Stadium has the same pattern this season - win the toss, bat first and put out big runs on the board. Teams tend to bat first under lights as the surface remains good for the batting and the ball comes onto the bat nicely. However, as the game progresses, the surface becomes slow and it is not ideal for stroke-making.

One major reason for this is that matches are played on used surfaces and by the time the second innings comes up, the chasing teams find it difficult to score runs.

Batting first, the pacers do get initial seam movement, but if the batters weather out the earoy storm then the conditions are ideal to play the high-risk shots. However, come the second innings, the wicket gets worn out and batters find it difficult to get going, and expect similar conditions on Saturday for the Peshawar Vs Multan clash.

So, judging at the pattern, the toss winning captain will look to bat first, put runs on the board and try and win the game.
