After a riveting Test series, which ended with India's triumphant win, the caravan shifts towards the game's shortest format of the game as the hosts, India, take on Bangladesh in a 3-match T20I series.
The first match of the series will be played at the MPCA International Cricket Stadium in Gwalior, as both the sides will look to get a win on the board. India thrashed Bangladesh in the Chennai Test by ease, and a similar incident occurred when the two sides met in Kanpur.
In a rain-marred match, the India team needed just 1.5 days to seal the win and capture the series 2-0. However, the young Indian side need to wary about the Bangladesh side, who are a better T20 side than Tests.
Apart from the two teams and their players, the pitch at the Gwalior stadium will also decide the fate of the contest on Sunday.
MPCA Stadium Pitch Report: Plenty of runs on offer
The MPCA stadium is known for its run feast, and it won't be different on Sunday as India take on Bangladesh. In the recently concluded MP T20 2024, runs were scored for fun, indicating that the surface is a paradise for the batters.
In the finals of the MP T20, more than 450 combined runs were scored, and don't be surprised if we witness a high-scoring encounter on Sunday.
The pitch won't change as the game progresses, meaning that it will stay true to its nature and will provide even bounce. In the last 10 matches, almost 65 percent of the wickets have been taken by the pacer, and the trend is likely to continue.
