BCCI was swift to react as they have announced MI star, Tilak Varma as his replacement for the 3-match series.

Dube's injury disbalances India's combination

Tilak Varma will join the Indian squad on Sunday, but most likely will miss the first T20I of the series. Dube has had a history of back issues, and the old injury reoccurred as the all-rounder is set to be out for a while now.

Dube was expected to play a major role in the upcoming series, but now India will have to rejig their plans for the Bangladesh T20Is. An integral part of the India white-ball setup, Dube sustained the injury during practice sessions and him getting ruled out increases the headache for the India T20I captain, Suryakumar Yadav.

The extent of his injury is relatively unknown, but the team management is not taking any risks, and thus, decided to be cautious with his latest injury setback.

Tilak Varma gets a chance to shine
