Troubled by the fragile batting lineup, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are at the bottom of the table in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Tied down by spin struggles, the duo of Ravindra Jadeja and Shivam Dube are struggling in this edition of this cash-rich extravaganza.

The Chennai Super Kings, prior to their match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, have already lost six of their eight matches, where they have only won two, and have four points, with a net run rate of -1.392. The six matches they have lost, their biggest issue has come up against spin where they've struggled even at their home ground, the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

It's not just about Jadeja, even one of the biggest spin bashers in the IPL, Shivam Dube, who made his reputation of smashing spin in the middle overs, is also finding it difficult against spin this season.

Out of the 71 balls Dube has faced, he has only managed 84 runs at a strike rate of 118.3, while he averages 42, reflecting his ability to play spin rather carefully, where he does not try to go big against the spinners. This is because he has been dismissed just twice so far, and that is why his average is a little higher as he hasn't tried to go against the spinners.
