'Whether You Perform Or...' - Ben Stokes Not Ruffled Over Bazball Criticism Before 4th Test

England captain Ben Stokes isn't losing sleep over the criticism thrown on his team's face since a painstaking defeat in the Rajkot Test tilted the Test series scoreline in India's favour.

Heading into the fourth Test in Ranchi, the aggressive skipper emerged unfazed by the backlash that his boys have endured after a 434-run battering at the hands of the dominant hosts.

Stokes insisted his team won't brood over their shocking collapse in the fourth innings to just 122 while chasing an insurmountable 557-run target while still creating space for individual assessments to take place over areas they need to improve upon.

"Me, as a person, and I'm sure every player in the dressing-room has reflected in some way on that game. But in terms of the result, no," Stokes was quoted as saying by ESPNcricinfo.

"I think as long as everyone's reflecting on a game, whether you perform or don't perform, and then that's given you a chance in the next game to do something better, I think that's the best way to look at it, rather than reflecting too much on the result. That's sort of how I look at wins, defeats, whatever it may be," he added.

During Stokes' pathbreaking run as Test captain, England have not lost a Test series so far. However, another defeat could end the winning streak for the courageous captain, under whom the Three Lions have won 14 of their previous 19 Tests.
