Dinesh Karthik Ignores Virat Kohli; Names 'This' Indian Player As MVP Of World Cup 2023

Without a doubt, India have been the best team in the World Cup 2023 so far. Be it the batting, the bowling, or even the fielding, India have excelled in all the departments, which is why they have entered into the final without a single defeat. The former Indian player, Dinesh Karthik names his Most Valuable Player for The Tournament.

Considering the performances of the Indian team, it is really hard for anyone to adjudge one player as the best. There are three Indians among the top five run-scorers of the tournament and there is Mohammed Shami at the top among the highest wicket-takers. With all 11 players contributing in every game, choosing one player can be tricky.

Virat Kohli has been magnificent throughout the tournament and has broken many records. However, Shreyas Iyer is nowhere behind, he has already scored 500-plus runs with four 50-plus scores in the last four innings. And what can one say about the Indian captain, Rohit Sharma? Not only he has been giving flyers of starts but also excelling in the leadership department.

DK acknowledges the contributions from Rohit Sharma and names him as his MVP of the Tournament

"For me, the Most Valuable Player of the Tournament has to be Rohit Sharma. He has given great starts, he has shown the template as to how it needs to be done and, as a skipper, he has been brilliant."

No wonder why DK has chosen Rohit Sharma as his most valuable player of the tournament. He not only spted Rohit because of his batting skills but also the way he has led the team and the decisions he took under-pressure in the semifinal is what makes him standout among others.

After the World Cup 2003 final, these two giants are meeting again in the ICC white-ball final, and this time, India would look to avenge which they could not the last time they met Aussies in the final.
