While there have been concerns over the Indian batting line-up choking in the important clashes, the story looks different now, as the Indian batting has been amazing in this tournament.

Both pillars of Indian cricket, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have been doing an impressive job. While Rohit is giving flyer of starts, Virat has been playing the role of an anchor and has already smashed three centuries and five half-centuries in 10 games. He is playing with a staggering average of 101.57 in the ongoing World Cup.

When it comes to averages, Virat Kohli is the one name that is always there at the top of the list. And once again, with a blistering average of 69.61, he has the best average in the ICC white ball games among the players with a minimum of 1000 runs.

Virat Kohli surpasses Viv Richards, Saeed Anwar and Sourav Ganguly

Virat had an amazing start to the tournament and played a brilliant knock of 85 under pressure when the team lost three early wickets. He has scored hundreds against Bangladesh, South Africa and New Zealand so far in the tournament and missed on two centuries against Sri Lanka and New Zealand in the league stage games departing on 88 and 95 respectively.
