"Creates Complications" - Ex-PCB Chief On Problems For Pakistan Because PSL-IPL Clash

The Indian Premier League 2025 is slowly and steadily getting into its groove, and alongside it, Pakistan Super League is also set to start on March 11. IPL is naturally a bigger brand, and all the star players from different countries are playing in the league. It has affected participation of star players in Pakistan Super League, and has created doubts over how things will pan out in PSL.

Ex-PCB Head Admits Issues For Pakistan Cricket

Now, former PCB chairman, Najam Sethi has opened up on the problems PSL might face. He admitted that the timing of PSL is tricky, and it has created complications for Pakistan cricket. The popularity of PSL has also been under scanner in the last few seasons, with plenty of empty stands during the home games of many teams.

"The timing is tricky, and it creates complications for us."

However, Najam Sethi displayed confidence in the pool of players, and added that there is lot of talent and PSL also has lot of quality players.

"Players will come. It’s a big world, and there’s always talent available."

The PSL 2025 will start on April 11 with the winners of the last edition, Islamabad United taking on Lahore Qalandars. The match will be played in Rawalpindi, while the final of the tournament will be played on May 18. Also, the timings of the game clash with IPL, and thus, it would be interesting to see how the Pakistan league pans out this time around.
