Sachin Tendulkar, famous for his encounters with Pakistan's Shoaib Akhtar during the '90s, has once again outshone him, this time off the field. 

Shoaib Akhtar's tweet, shared just one day prior to the India vs Pakistan clash, backfired as India beat Pakistan by seven wickets on Saturday, October 14, at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. 


Here’s how Akhtar tried making fun of Tendulkar: 


Following India's victory, Sachin Tendulkar, known for his cool and composed nature, didn't hold back and humorously trolled Shoaib Akhtar by responding to the legendary pacer’s tweet. 


Tendulkar took a revenge against Akhtar with a hilarious reply:


The encounter proved to be a lop-sided affair, with the Indian bowlers dismissing Pakistan for just 191 runs in 42.5 overs. India's response, led by Rohit Sharma’s 86-run innings, complemented by contributions from Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, and KL Rahul, saw them chase down the target in 30.3 overs. 

With their third consecutive win in the ICC World Cup 2023, Team India now stands atop the points table, surpassing New Zealand. On the other hand, this defeat marked Pakistan's first loss in the tournament, following victories against the Netherlands and Sri Lanka in their first two matches.
