The India vs Pakistan which was the most anticipated clash in the World Cup 2023, is done and dusted. The Indian team came out on top in this high-magnitude clash and dominated the men in green in all three aspects of the game.

This was the eighth clash between the arch-rivals and now India have won on all the occasions. The bowling performance from India was fantabulous as the Pakistan team could not even reach the 200 mark. And then the masterclass from the captain himself helping India chase down the total comfortably.

With the injury of Naseem Shah, Pakistan are not having a good time with the ball in this World Cup. Even though they managed to win their first two games because they were brilliant with the bat. Against Sri Lanka, they had to chase a high total of 345 as their bowlers were not up to the mark in restricting the Lankans.

Here's what the Pakistan captain Babar Azam said on being asked what went wrong in the game today:

"We started well with the bat. Imam-ul-Haq and I stitched a good partnership. But we collapsed and didn't finish well. The collapse wasn't good for us and it cost us the game. We haven't bowled well with the new ball. But credit to Rohit for the way he played."

Babar believes that they were not good enough with the new ball and could not stop Rohit Sharma, who was smacking his bowlers. Going forward in the tournament, it will be important for the Pakistan bowlers to step up and take some responsibility. Even their spin bowling line-up has not been taking wickets lately, which is crucial on these Indian wickets.

Pakistan's team have lost their first game of the World Cup 2023 and now they will be locking horns against Australia on the 20th of October in Bengaluru.
