Rawalpindi Weather Update: Will ISL vs LAH Be Called Off?
According to the latest reports, the weather in Rawalpindi has undergone a drastic change, with black clouds hovering over the cricket stadium. The pitch has entirely been covered, with rain and thunderstorms likely to delay the start of this high-voltage contest.
As per AccuWeather, Rawalpindi is expected to witness a cloud cover of 70 per cent this afternoon, with the chances of precipitation reading 42 per cent. So, there could be one or multiple spells of showers which might delay the proceedings at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
In fact, it has started raining cats and dogs in Islamabad, a city that is in close proximity of Rawalpindi.
Nevertheless, the weather might get better as the day progresses, as AccuWeather predicts only 1 per cent chance of precipitation this evening.
Having said that, lack of covers and Rawalpindi's poor drainage system might force the authorities to inspect the outfield multiple times before giving a green signal for a full-fledged contest.
