[Watch] Virat Kohli ‘Furious’ After Naveen-ul-Haq's Run-Out Refused By KL Rahul

The rift between Virat Kohli and Naveen-ul-Haq began during an iconic IPL 2023 match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants. Naveen has since been accosted by crowds chanting 'Kohli, Kohli!' in a taunting manner.

The same thing occurred on Wednesday when Naveen entered the fray to bat as Afghanistan took on India at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi for World Cup 2023.

More significantly, things became more exciting when Naveen hit towards Virat Kohli, who was placed at deep square leg, to begin his innings. Kohli was quick to take the ball, while Naveen went for a sharp couple of runs.

Kohli saw the opportunity and threw the ball directly towards KL Rahul at striker's end. Naveen went for a dive to save his wicket, although Rahul did not even try to collect the ball. As a result, Afghanistan added two more runs on the board.

Rahul's decision to pass up the opportunity to seize the ball and force a run-out infuriated Kohli. After that incident, the talismanic batsman became animated and expressed his rage at Rahul, making more noise both in Delhi and around the world.

After opting to bat, Afghanistan closed on 272/8, with Hashmatullah Shahidi top-scoring with a 88-ball 80.
