Travis Head and Nathan Lyon, two key members of the Australian team are participating in the domestic competition, Sheffield Shield, to prepare for the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Series Vs India, starting November 22.

Australia have not played a red-ball cricket for a while and so to get used to the 90-over game, the two stars of the Aussie team are testing their skills in the domestic circuit. Head represented South Australia and Lyon was a part of New South Wales side.

However, in a battle between the two greats of the game, Lyon triumphed and got the better of Head with his magical off-break. Lyon reminded the Indian fans why they shouldn't take him lightly as he bamboozled Head's stumps to leave him shell-shocked.

He came around the wicket and bowled a terrific off-break delivery. Head was perhaps hoping that with the around the wicket angle, the ball would come back into him as he stood deep inside his crease. However, the ball pitched and spun away to castle the stumps, leaving Head in shock.

Head, Lyon will be Australia's trump card Vs India

India will need to be wary of Head and Lyon during the BGT 2024-25. Head has been India's nemesis for a while now and the Indian team found it out during the WTC finals in 2023 and the 50-over World Cup final, the same year. He almost stole the win for Australia in the T20 World Cup this year, showcasing his love for facing Indian bowlers.

Meanwhile, Lyon also has stellar record against India, picking up 121 wickets in 27 Tests, at an average of 31.56. Moreover, the Indian batters tend to struggle against spinners and Lyon will look to exploit that in home conditions.
