Mohammed Siraj was taken to the cleaners by Steve Smith, however, the Indian seamer bounced back in style as on the next delivery, he dismissed the Aussie batter to push the home side on the back-foot in the ongoing Gabba Test.

India, in their first innings got bundled out for 260, meaning that the Australia team had a lead of 185 to play with. However, an inspired Indian bowling attack, led by Jasprit Bumrah dismantled the Aussies with ease as the team lost 5 wickets for nothing.

All the three front-line pacers of India scalped wickets, but perhaps, Mohammed Siraj grabbed the most crucial wicket of them all in the form of Steve Smith. The Australian batter has a tendency of getting dismissed down the leg side and the same mistake was repeated in the second innings as he shuffled across the stumps and couldn't get the connection on his flick shot.

The ball flew to the left of Rishabh Pant who flew like a superhuman and grabbed a stunning catch. Siraj, after dismissing Smith roared like a lion as he knew he had scalped the big fish as India smell an outside chance of a win.

India still very much alive in the contest

India conceded a 185-run lead, but Jasprit Bumrah made sure that the team stays live in the match as he got the prized wickets of Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuschagne.

Akash Deep, soon joined the party as he knocked over a scratchy looking Mitchell Marsh for 2. The icing on the cake was Siraj getting the wicket of the dangerous Steve Smith for just 4. With less than 2 sessions left for the game to end, India still have a chance to sneak in a win. If they can churn out the remaining five wickets quickly, then a target of around 250 could be chased down if India play aggressively.
