Jasprit Bumrah gets Khawaja's wicket (Source:@cricketcomau/X.com)
Jasprit Bumrah is one of the finest bowlers of this generation, probably the best in world cricket currently and is turning out to be a one-man army in the bowling department for India. He picked six wickets in the first innings of the Gabba Test, and now in the second innings, the man has started off with a bang, by bagging the wicket of birthday boy, Usman Khawaja.
It was the fourth ball of the third over and first one from Bumrah to Khawaja in the innings. The Indian pacer came 'round the wicket and bowled it on a good-length on off. Usman Khawaja went for a drive, but the ball missed the inside edge of his blade and brushed the pads on its way and shattered the stumps.
Jasprit Bumrah Makes It 4 In 4 Against Khawaja
Bumrah as usual was not much fussed about the wicket as it was business as usual for the great man and he has removed Khawaja on all four occassions in this series so far. It was a much-needed wicket for India as Australia gained 185-run lead by bowling out the visitors early on Day 5, and need to bat well to push for a win.
There is not much time left in the game with rain interferring throughout the game, and if India does manage to get some quick wickets, it would further put Ausssies ambitions of winning the Test in jeopardy. Bumrah though need support from other bowlers as he has been fighting a lone-battle for the most part of this series and it is time for the likes of Siraj and Akash Deep to step up.
