Thanks to Rohit Sharma's audacious knock, followed by Virat Kohli's glorious half-century, Shreyas Iyer did not need to do much for India on Wednesday (October 11) during their World Cup 2023 fixture against Afghanistan in Delhi. Even so, one shot he struck against Mujeeb Ur Rahman during his unbeaten 23-ball 25 innings caught everyone's attention.

Shreyas has always been so good against the spinners, and the shot that he played against Mujeeb spoke volumes. Mujeeb’s delivery came at the Indian middle-order batsman's arc, and he lofted it over long-on for a huge six.

The ball soared above the spectators and traveled up to 101 meters, becoming the biggest six of the competition so far.

Shreyas remained unbeaten to help India chase 273 in just 35 overs, while Kohli was at the other end on 55* off 56 deliveries. Rohit Sharma, meanwhile, set the platform, having made 131 off just 84 balls, laced with 16 fours and five sixes.

Ishan Kishan played brillaintly as well, having scored 47 in their 156-run opening wicket stand.

India, under Rohit, will next play Pakistan at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 14.
