Chasing an improbable target of 365, Bangladesh had something special to pull off against England on Tuesday (October 10) in Match 7 of the World Cup 2023 at HPCA Stadium, Dharamsala. 

To make that happen, their captain of the ship, Shakib Al Hasan had to lead by example. However, a lethal delivery by Reece Topley did not allow the Bangladeshi all-rounder to play a pivotal role in this crucial fixture.

It was an angled-in delivery from Topley, who bowled from over the wicket to get rid of Bangladesh’s captain. Shakib tried to play it forward, but the angle of the delivery was so sharp that he failed to get his bat to the line of it. Any bowler would've loved to see the ball hit the top of the off-stump, and it only happened after that.

Shakib, batting on 1 off nine deliveries, was stunned for a while after that, thinking that how the ball came up to break the stumps after pitching there. Topley, on the other hand, leapt in joy, as the left-arm quick as many as three wickets for Bangladesh.

At the time of writing, Bangladesh are 50/4 in 9.2 overs, with Litton Das going strong on, on 38* off 34 deliveries.
