Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are two of the greatest white-ball cricketers of the modern era and both of them have played a big role in India's success during the last decade or so. They have retired from T20Is and are struggling in Test cricket, but in ODIs, they are one of the best and are still going strong.
In the second ODI, Rohit Sharma smashed a century and in the final ODI of the series against England, Virat Kohli came into party with a superb fifty. However, he could not carry on and get a big score and the star batter was pretty disappointed as he had the chance to notch up his first century in ODIs after 2023 World Cup semis.
India Deliver Strong Batting Performance At The Narendra Modi Stadium
Now, a video is going viral on social media where Virat Kohli is seen roaming around in the dressing room and he clearly looked distrubed. He then walks towards Rohit Sharma and the Indian captain very kindly congratulates Kohli with a handshake. The Indian number three then sits alongside Rohit Sharma, and walks away, but it once again show the bond between two Indian greats.
Overall, India came up with a strong performance with the bat in the third ODI at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Shubman Gill scored a century while Kohli and Shreyas Iyer smashed fifties to record the highest total of the series. India have already won the series and with this performance, they are now favourites to whitewash England before Champions Trophy 2025.
