Riding on spinners' brilliant performance, Afghanistan pushed Pakistan into the back foot in the ongoing World Cup clash in Chennai. After opting to bat first, Pakistan lost Imam-ul-Haq early before Abdullah Shafique and Babar Azam consolidated their innings. However, the Afghan spin unit bamboozled the Pakistani batters and helped their side make a remarkable comeback in the match.

After Noor Ahmad got the prized scalps of Shafique and Mohammad Rizwan, veteran all-rounder Mohammad Nabi got rid of Saud Shakeel to leave Pakistan tottering at 163 for four.

However, ace spinner Rashid Khan grabbed the limelight, as he celebrated aggressively after grabbing a skier.

Bowling the 34th over, Nabi drew Shakeel forward for a lofted shot through a well-flighted delivery. The explosive southpaw fell in the trap, with the ball gobbling up in the air for a long time. Rashid Khan, stationed at the boundary, covered a considerable distance, holding on to a spectacular catch. After taking the catch, Rashid was pumped up, as he threw the ball with anger.

Meanwhile, skipper Babar Azam and his deputy Shadab Khan are unbeaten in the middle, with Pakistan stranded at 178 for four in 38 overs as of writing.
