Noor Ahmad is the youngest player in World Cup 2023, just a teenager but is already pretty highly rated because of his exploits in T20 franchise league. He is now playing his first World Cup game against Pakistan at the Chepauk and has started off with a bang, with a wicket of in-form Abdullah Shafique. The Pakistan opener scored 58 off 75 balls but failed to convert into a big one as he was trapped in front by the talented Noor Ahmad with his crafty wrist spin.

It was the 23rd over of the game, and Noor Ahmed bowling his third over tossed it up on middle. Shafique who was itching to score a boundary tries to play as sweep shot in a hope that it is a stock delivery coming into him. However, it was a googly that did not turn and went straight as Shafique missed his sweep shot. The ball hit his pads and a huge appeal followed. However, the umpire did not give it out initially and after Afghans took the DRS, the decision was overturned as the Ball Tracking showed three reds.

It was a big blow to Pakistan and soon Rizwan was also sent back to the hut as Pakistan were reduced to 120-3 from 110-1.
