Australian captain Pat Cummins continued his onslaught on the Englishmen, dismissing promising batter Ollie Pope by a toe-crushing yorker on day four of the ongoing Ashes Test at Edgbaston. Cummins' bowling heroics brought a sigh of relief to Australia, who desperately needed someone to break the third wicket stand between Pope and Joe Root.

England began the day with a bang, as Joe Root took on the Australian bowlers, particularly Scott Boland, helping England increase their lead rapidly. However, when things seemed to be completely in England's control, Australia bounced back remarkably, courtesy of Cummins' unplayable delivery, which shattered Pope's timber.

The incident occurred in the 17th over of the innings when the Australian captain brought himself for his third over of the day. After keeping it tight initially, Cummins conceded a boundary to Pope in the fourth delivery of his over. However, the veteran speedster bounced back remarkably, cleaning up the Englishman with an absolute corker and having the last laugh in this intriguing battle.

However, Pope's dismissal had a little impact on Root, as he continued to bat with an ultra-aggressive approach. Riding on his super counterattacking innings, England are 95 for three in just 19.3 overs, leading by 102 runs at the time of writing.
