Sri Lankan speedster Nuwan Thushara provided Mumbai Indians with a dream start with the ball against their ongoing IPL 2024 clash against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. 

After MI skipper Hardik Pandya opted to bowl first, Thushara rattled KKR's top-order, getting the prized scalp of Phil Salt before dismissing Angkrish Raghuvanshi and skipper Shreyas Iyer in the same over. 

The Lankan pacer, famous for his slinging bowling action, had a torrid start to his second over, with Raghuvanshi dispatching his wayward delivery into the square leg stands for a massive six. 

However, his comeback was even more special as he got rid of the young batter, who had hit him for two sixes. 

After spraying it down the legside, Thushara bowled a regular length delivery around the off stump, which Raghuvanshi casually punched in the air in the off side. 

The ball went straight to Suryakumar Yadav, who held on to a simple catch to send him back to the dugout. 

After Raghuvanshi departed, KKR team mentor Gautam Gambhir looked unimpressed as it reduced the visitors to two down in no time. 

As of writing, KKR were in a spot of bother, placed at 43 for four in 4.3 overs, with Rinku Singh and Venkatesh Iyer batting in the middle.
