Ellyse Perry is arguably the greatest women cricketer and she is still going strong with quality performances across formats. In the second ODI against India, she smashed 105 off just 75 balls and hit seven fours and six sixes as Aussies blasted 371 in their 50 overs. The score could have been even bigger had Perry batted till the end, but it was Deepti Sharma who provided a crucial breakthrough in the 44th over to give Indian fans some respite.

The Australian legend was going all guns blazing and got to her century in just 72 balls. However, a reverse-sweep attempt in the 44th over proved costly. It was a full delivery on middle and leg by Deepti Sharma and Perry tried to go for a fancy shot. She, however, missed the ball completely and the ball went between her two legs to shatter the stumps.

Australia Hammer Record-Breaking 371 In Brisbane

Australia had 320 on the board in the 44th over when Ellyse Perry departed and lost some quick wickets at the backend to score runs at a more rapid rate. They still managed to post 371 on the board and it is the highest runs conceded by India in the ODI format. Earlier, Georgia Voll smashed her maiden international century and Aussies have once again shown the world why they are the best in the world.

India need to win this game to keep themselves alive in the series as Australia clinched the first game by five wickets. For India, Saima Thakor picked three wickets while debutant Minnu Mani grabbed two wickets and they now need their batters to show some positive intent to pull of a record run-chase.
