When on song, there is no one better than Heinrich Klaasen in world cricket. The South African superstar is one of the most explosive batters in world cricket at the moment and he showcased his brute strength in the second ODI Vs Pakistan.

In a high-octane clash, Klaasen single-handedly kept Proteas alive in the chase as the home side had a mountain to climb, chasing a mammoth 330 runs. He played a blinder, but the heartbreak came when Klaasen got dismissed for a well-compiled 97 off 74 deliveries.

Wickets kept falling at the other end, but the Proteas batter stood firm at one end and took the matters in his own hands. He forged a crucial partnership alongside a struggling David Miller and was the chief aggressor as he took a special liking towards Agha Salman. The middle-order batter kept the scoreboard ticking with big blows, but ran away with partners at the other end.

Frustrated with no one giving a helping hand, Heinrich Klaasen took it upon himself and switched gears after reaching his fifty as the explosive batter smashed sixes for fun and quickly raced away to 90s. However, with 9 wickets down, Klaasen needed 3 runs to reach the three-figures mark, but disaster struck. He slapped a Naseem Shah delivery towards deep mid wicket, but the fielder there took a simple catch and the entire stadium went silent, including David Miller, who went into a deep shock.

Pakistan clinch ODI series

After recently winning the ODI series in Australia, Pakistan, under Mohammed Rizwan showcased their class and clinched the ODI series against the Proteas, with a game to spare. It was a thorough professional performance from the Men in Green after getting the drubbing in the T20Is.

Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan and Kamran Ghulam scored valiant half-centuries as the visitors posted 329 runs, which was enough to seal the win.
