David Miller took one of the most spectacular catches in the 2023 World Cup during South Africa’s ongoing edition match against New Zealand in Pune. The South African maestro, known for being one of the most athletic players on the field, pulled off an outrageous effort to dismiss Daryl Mitchell.

Simultaneously, Keshav Maharaj, who made headlines a few nights ago in South Africa’s historic victory over Pakistan, got his first wicket of the match.

It happened during the 19th over of New Zealand’s innings when Mitchell came down the wicket against Maharaj and attempted to play his lofted drive down the ground. However, the Kiwi middle-order batter did not get the timing right, as the ball only went high above the sky.

Miller kept his cool and pouched it safely at long-off, making it one of the tournament's top catches.

Maharaj was pumped after the wicket, as the left-arm spinner got his wicket immediately after coming into the attack.

Chasing an improbable target of 358, New Zealand are on the verge of suffering a humiliating defeat against South Africa. The Black Caps, as of writing, are batting on 108/6 after 24.2 overs, with Glenn Phillips and Tim Southee in the middle.
