Kuldeep Yadav is one of India's key asset in World Cup 2023 with his bowling and started off the marquee event with some quality performances, reaffirming his status as India's premier spinner. However, against New Zealand on the small ground at Dharamsala, he is proving expensive with both Daryl Mitchell and Rachin Ravindra not letting him settle with some lusty blows. One of those was of Daryl Mitchell against Kuldeep Yadav when he blasted Kuldeep straight on the roof of the beautiful HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala.

It was the second delivery of the 21st over and Kuldeep Yadav in a bid to outfox Daryl Mitchell, tossed it up nicely on middle. Mitchell though was in no mood to back down and danced down the track and tonked it straight over the bowler's head as the ball could only be stopped when hit the roof of the stadium. It was quite a statement from Mitchell which made clear that New Zealand want to put pressure on India's premier spinner with only five bowling options available in the absence of Hardik Pandya.
