Prior to IPL 2024, there was a considerable hype around Australian sensation, Jake Fraser-McGurk, but after one good IPL season and a few good matches for Australia, that hype faded and his IPL franchise, Delhi Capitals are suffering the most. 6 matches into the new season and he has already been a flop show.

This fooled DC into believing that the Aussie could be the long-term opening solution and they splashed out 9 crores to buy his services. However, the nightmare began as in the first 6 matches of the season. the batter has only scored 55 runs with strike-rate just crossing 100. So, too much hype and no performance. He tricked DC by making them believe that he can replicate the same form in IPL 2025, but that hope faded with each passing game.
