The stage is set for the 13th match of the Women's T20 World Cup 2024 between Bangladesh and West Indies at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah on Thursday, 10 October. It has been a shared deal of cards for both the teams, as Bangladesh Women and the West Indies Women have split two victories and two losses between one another.

While Nigar Sultana led hosts started strong against Scotland by defeating them by 16 runs; they did face a road block in their most recent outing against England Women. In pursuit of 119 runs, Bangladesh failed to gain momentum because the openers did not rotate the strike effectively.

Nigar Sultana and Sobhana Mostary could build only a short partnership of 35 runs for the third wicket when the skipper fell for 15 off a brilliant catch, which cramped their innings. Bangladesh lost wickets consistently, which gave them limited scoring opportunities. The batters could not step up and play their shots due to England's disciplined bowling, and eventually lost the game by 21 runs.

Meanwhile, the West Indies team did not start their campaign on a high note after losing to last editions runners up South Africa. However, they bounced back in no time and registered a  win against Scotland. They would hope to continue this momentum in their upcoming game.

As the two prepare to lock horns, let's take a look at the weather conditions:
