Warner Park witnessed pure, unadulterated carnage on Saturday, July 26. In a T20 International that redefined the word "chase," Australia, fueled by a Tim David hurricane, hunted down a mammoth West Indies total of 214 with a jaw-dropping 26 balls to spare, winning the 3rd AUS vs WI 2025 match by 6 wickets and bagging teh five-match series.

Let's take a look at how the match panned out at Warner Park:

Shai Hope & King Set the Stage Alight!

Sent in to bat, the Windies came out swinging. Openers Brandon King (62 off 36 balls) and skipper Shai Hope (a magnificent, unbeaten 102 off just 57 balls) launched an aerial assault. Their opening stand of 125 in just 70 balls was pure fireworks, clearing the compact Warner Park boundaries with astonishing ease.

Hope, in particular, was sublime, anchoring the innings with power and precision. Cameos from Rutherford and Powell kept the momentum going, propelling the hosts to a seemingly impregnable 214/4 in their 20 overs. Australia's bowlers, including Zampa (1/51) and Ellis (1/37), were treated harshly in Basseterre.

Australia's Chase From Wobble to Absolute Domination!

Australia's reply started chaotically. Glenn Maxwell (20 off 7 balls) blitzed briefly before a run-out, while Marsh (22) and Inglis (15) fell trying to match the required rate. When Cameron Green (11) departed at 87/4 in the 9th over, the Windies were elated. The target looked distant.

Tim David Masterclass Throws Off The Windies

Then came Tim David. What followed was arguably one of the most destructive displays of T20 batting ever witnessed. He treated the bowling harshly, smashing 6 fours and an incredible 11 sixes in his unbeaten 102 off just 37 deliveries at a strike rate of scarcely believable 275.68.

He found the perfect accomplice in Mitchell Owen (36* off 16 balls). Together, they unleashed hell. Their unbroken 5th-wicket partnership of 128 runs came off a mere 46 balls. David reached his century in just 35 balls, the fastest for any Australian in T20Is, fittingly sealing the win with a boundary off Shepherd (2/39) in the first ball of the 17th over.

Nevertheless, Australia, staring down the barrel, produced a chase for the ages, orchestrated by the sheer, terrifying power of Tim David. Shai Hope's masterclass was breathtaking, but it was ultimately drowned out by the David hurricane that swept through Basseterre.
