Luck is an important part of the Cricket game and Delhi Capitals batter, Abishek Porel found it first hand as the opposition captain, Sanju Samson handed him a lifeline at the crucial juncture of the match between DC and RR played at Delhi's Arun Jaitley Stadium.

Samson's DRS blunder

In the 13th over of the match, the Rajasthan side had the opportunity to dismiss a well set Porel, but captain Sanju Samson spilled the opportunity. Jofra Archer dugged it short as Porel backed away and tried to play it over the keeper's head, but he missed the shot.

Interestingly, when the replays were shown, it came to light that there was a faint-nick and no one appealed as the DC batter got away from the jail. Samson, the keeper was behind the batter and he didn't take the DRS and committed a blunder.

Fortunately for RR and Samson, the DC batter couldn't capitalise as he was dismissed by Wanindu Hasaranga for the score of 49.

Axar at the rescue as DC eye big total

DC were put into bat first and they started on the wrong note as Jake Fraser-McGurk continues to produce flop show and was dismissed cheaply. Karun Nair also departed cheaply but KL Rahul and Abishek Porel resurrected the innings.

However, the wicket of Porel and Rahul has put DC on the back-foot, but captain Axar Patel is fighting hard as he is batting at 26 off 11 with a strike-rate of 236.
