SA vs BAN: Captains’ Thoughts

Aiden Markram:

"Yeah, we will bat first. Try and approach the very similar way as we did in the game against England. It is really hot. The heat did take a lot of toll on many of the players in the last game. It becomes slightly easier for the fielding in the evening. This World Cup has proved that on a given day, anyone can beat anyone. Any games are ain't easy. We have learnt the lessons from the Netherlands game. It is a new day today and we will try to replicate our performances. We have a change. Lungi Ngidi has some issues, and Lizaad Williams comes in. Temba is yet to recover."

Shakib Al Hasan:

"Yes. Fully fit. We have got one change. Towhid is not playing today and I come in place of him. Yes. We beat them in the 2019 World Cup and we will be confident. But having said that, it's another important game. It's a new day and a new venue. We have to play well to finish on the winning side. We would have batted first as well. But never mind. We have to bowl well to restrict them to a low total."
