KL Rahul is one of the underrated T20 batter in Indian circuit and he continues to showcase his domination in the ongoing Indian Premier League, crossing 400-runs in the match against Gujarat Titans. In a topsy-turvy campaign for DC, he has been their best batter and against GT, he broke Virat Kohli's T20 record.
KL Rahul surpasses Kohli's record
By crossing the 33-run mark, KL surpassed Virat Kohli and became the fastest Indian to smash 8,000 runs in T20s. While Kohli achieved the milestone in 243 innings, Rahul reached it in just 224 innings.
Interestingly, he is not only the fastest Indian to reach the milestone, but the third fastest in the world as well.

KL Rahul achieved the landmark in 224 innings, with Kohli at second place and former DC and SRH opener, Shikhar Dhawan at third place. He reached the landmark in 277 innings.
Chris Gayle, the West Indian and RCB legend holds the record for being the fastest to 8,000 runs, as the opener achieved it in 213 innings with Babar Azam at second place (218 innings).
KL Rahul once again rescues DC
KL Rahul who has played in the middle order this season, opened the innings vs GT and showed his class. While Faf du Plessis struggled for runs and departed for 10-ball 5, Rahul resurrected the innings and is etching closer to his fifty as he aims to propel DC to a decent total on a tricky Arun Jaitley surface.
