Injury Alert! MI Star Walks Off The Field After Scary Injury In IPL 2025 Match vs SRH

The much-awaited clash between Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad is underway at the Wankhede Stadium. MI won the toss and opted to field first. SRH, batting first, got off to a sluggish start as Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head struggled to clear the 30-yard circle.

It is worth noting that Will Jacks dropped a catch of the first ball of the over, while several more chances were created in the first four overs. Notably, on the 5th ball of the 3rd over, Abhishek mistimed a shot off Deepak Chahar's bowling, while Karn Sharma looked to grab that opportunity.

Karn Sharma Walks Off The Field With Injury

The ball bounced just short of Karn, but it did him a lot of damage as he walked off the field with injury. Notably, Karn was in immense pain as he injured his bowling hand and ran off the ground because of split webbing, where the physios attended him. The injury looked bad as blood was flowing out of his hand.

The injury looked nasty and the fans are worried whether Karn would return to bowl or not as he was MI's key player during their thumping win over Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. 

Karn, who played his first match of IPL 2025 against DC, picked up a three-wicket haul and turned the course of the game in MI's favour. Talking about the ongoing match, then at the time of writing this article, SRH are 37/0 after 4.4 overs.
