In a remarkable achievement, swashbuckling Australian opener David Warner has equalled the legendary Sachin Tendulkar's tally of six centuries in the ODI World Cups. The explosive opener achieved the phenomenal feat during Australia's ongoing World Cup clash against the Netherlands in Delhi. 

Overall, Indian captain Rohit Sharma leads the chart with seven World Cup tons, with the latest being a belligerent knock against Afghanistan in Delhi.

Opening the batting, Warner ensured a solid start for Australia through his scintillating stroke play. After Australia lost Mitchell Marsh early, Warner formed a consolidating 132-run stand with Steve Smith to steady the ship. Following Smith’s dismissal, Warner further stitched an 84-run partnership with Marnus Labuschagne, powering Australia to a formidable total. 

In this process, the left-handed batter struck eleven fours and three sixes to score 104 runs off just 93 deliveries before being dismissed by ace Dutch speedster Logan van Beek. 

As of writing, Australia are 290 for five, with Glenn Maxwell and Cameron Green batting on 14* and 8*, respectively.
