If you would only see the result, it would fit in the category of one-sided matches. But, the Netherlands made it enjoyable. In the first innings, their captain Scott Edwards stunned Bangladesh with a fifty, resurrecting the Oranje Army from 63/4.

The Dutch gave a target of 230 runs. It was still Bangladesh's game to lose but the Netherlands bowled their hearts out and bundled The Tigers at a score of 142 to register a massive 87-run win.

The medium-pacer fetches Shanto's wicket. The batter targets the off-side region but it flies off to the wicket-keeper's gloves.

Powerplay ends!

Good start for the Netherlands but they need to take regular wickets. In the batting powerplay, they have bowled three maidens. But the Bangladeshi batters have opened up and are on the right direction in this run-chase.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Najmul Hossain Shanto are cutting loose. The counterattack is on and Bangladesh are dictating terms again.

Another back of the length delivery. Tanzid tries to pull it across the line but ends up edging the ball to Edwards.

Dutt draws first blood!

This was one the cards. Litton was not looking fluent at all. He tries to do something out of the ordinary and plays a reverse only to top-edge the ball to the wicket-keeper.

Litton is finding it tough to time the ball but Tanzid is releasing pressure from the other end by hitting a boundary in every over.

Logan van Beek bowls from the other end. He started off a bit full and also conceded a boundary on that length. He immediately makes a correction and shortens up his length to test the batters.

The Netherlands have ended well in the first innings. But the total is such that they cannot afford any looseners at the start of the second half. The pressure must be build right from the word go. Otherwise, Bangladesh would not have much trouble in chasing this down.

Van Beek displays his hitting prowess in the final over. He smacks two fours and a six to power the Netherlands to 229 runs at the end of 50 overs. Mahedi Hasan did take a wicket on the last ball. But the Dutch had done enough damage by then.

Brilliant recovery for them as they were 63/4 at one stage. But to end up where they have, one must applaud them. Still, Bangladesh are pretty much the favourites going into the second innings.

After clearing the boundary, Aryan Dutt goes for another big strike but holes at point. Shoriful Islam has the last laugh.

Engelbrecht has taken a review as he has been adjudged LBW. Unless, there is a bat involved, it's plumb. The ultraedge shows no spike. Three reds on the ball tracking and it's out.

What a timely wicket. Edwards tries to guide it square of the wicket but Mustafizur deceives him with a cutter and he ends up handing a straightforward catch at backward point.

The Bangladeshi bowlers are looking frustrated now. They know they had the Netherlands under their thumb but it's starting to slip away now.
