The world of sports and cinema witnessed a portentous reunion as former Indian captain, MS Dhoni and globally acclaimed RRR actor Ram Charan recently collaborated for an advertisement shoot.

The union of these two icons is not their first; they had previously worked together for a Pepsi ad in 2009.

Dhoni, celebrated globally for his cricketing skills and exemplary leadership, has now hung up his international cricket boots but continues to play a vital role in the Indian Premier League (IPL). On the other hand, Ram Charan has become an international sensation post the monumental success of SS Rajamouli's 'RRR', catapulting him to global stardom.

Taking to social media, Charan expressed his delight at meeting the cricketing legend. Posting their photograph on Instagram, he captioned it,

                           "Soo Happy to meet India’s pride @mahi7781.” 

The post instantly sent waves of excitement among fans who are eagerly waiting to catch a glimpse of the upcoming advertisement.



Meanwhile, Dhoni was last seen spearheading the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to their fifth IPL title in 2023. Despite battling a knee injury that limited his mobility, Dhoni ensured that he continued to contribute to his team's success.

Playing lower down the batting order, the seasoned cricketer played a series of crucial cameos, scoring 104 runs off just 57 balls at an impressive strike rate of 182.46 with a highest score of 32*.

However, the aftermath of the tournament saw Dhoni undergoing knee surgery in Mumbai. His recovery phase included a trip to the US, where he was spotted attending the US Open tennis Grand Slam at the iconic Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York.

After his return to India, Dhoni, known for his humility and close bond with fans, was seen engaging with them, posing for photographs and selfies.
