Royal Challengers Bangalore are hailed one of the most popular franchises in the Indian Premier League despite not winning a single title in the history of the competition. This is largely due to presence of star players in the side. Since the inaugural edition, the Bangalore based franchise never had dearth of quality players in their set-up.

From Anil Kumble to Kevin Pietersen, from AB de Villiers to Virat Kohli, the RCB always had quality players but never quite managed to lift the trophy. They came close on a few occasions, reaching the finals in the 2009, 2011, and 2016 editions, but the Red-Army lost in all three finals.

In 2016, Virat Kohli wreaked havoc with the bat, scoring more than 900 runs in a single edition. However, that was, perhaps, their best chance of winning the title but the trophy, once again, eluded them.

RCB made it to the payoffs in the 2020, 2021 and 2022 editions and were just one win away from making it to the playoffs last year. Despite all the heartbreaks, fans have continued to shower support to their franchise.

Having said that, RCB have also been at the receiving end of a lot of trolling. The netizens never fail to take the opportunity to troll the franchise on the internet. In a recent video, which has been going viral on internet, popular director, Simple Suni aka Sunil Kumar could be seen trolling the Bangalore franchise.

Asked about RCB’s chances of lifting the title in the upcoming season, Sunil Kumar hilariously said that Virat Kohli’s franchise won’t be able to win the title for next three years.

Here’s a look at the video clip:

Last season, RCB’s ambition to make into the playoffs were thwarted by Shubman Gill’s ton in their last league stage match at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. With another edition just around the corner, the Bengaluru-based will turn up once again to cheer for their franchise hoping them to lift their first ever title.
