It seems like the Chennai Super Kings intend to get all the divine blessings they can acquire ahead of the next encounter against LSG on Monday, April 14. Ahead of their fixture, the players visited the famous Hanuman Garhi temple in Ayodhya on Sunday.
CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad, who has been ruled out of IPL 2025 due to a hairline elbow fracture, and all-rounder Shreyas Gopal were seen offering prayers at the temple.
Gaikwad Visits Hanuman Mandir To Seek Blessings!
The video shared by ANI Hindi News saw the players entering the temple. Gaikwad was accompanied by security guards and other visitors to the temple. Gaikwad and Gopal were seen offering prayers on the auspicious occasion of Hanuman Jayanti.

Notably, RCB Star Virat Kohli also put up Bajrangbali's image on his Instagram story on Saturday to add to his prayers in the occassion.
CSK's Mid-Season Captaincy Shift
CSK’s campaign this season has not gone as planned. The team has suffered five consecutive defeats and is currently placed at the bottom of the points table. Also, after Gaikwad's injury, veteran MS Dhoni has stepped in to lead the side once again.
Meanwhile, this is not the first time CSK has undergone a captaincy shift mid-season. Before IPL 2024 began, Ruturaj was handed over the captaincy from Dhoni. Over the years, other players like Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja have also led the team.
Were The Captaincy Shifts Helpful?
Raina captained in Dhoni’s absence, while Jadeja was officially made captain ahead of IPL 2022. However, CSK struggled under Jadeja’s leadership, and Dhoni took over the reins midway. He later led the team to their fifth IPL title in 2023.
This time, the captaincy is back to the mastermind, 'Captain Cool ' and the fans await whether he will be able to turn around things for good or not.
