Caribbean superstars Andre Russell and Sunil Narine were recently involved in a hilarious interview where they were reminded of an old meme that went viral. It all happened after the Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) lifted their fifth Caribbean Premier League (CPL) title in the 2025 edition.

Andre Russell and Sunil Narine reminded of the iconic BPL question

The Trinbago Knight Riders lifted their 5th Caribbean Premier League title in the 2025 edition after beating the Guyana Amazon Warriors in the finale. After the game, two of the superstars of the side, Andre Russell and Sunil Narine, also veterans of the West Indian national side, were interviewed following their inspiring victory.

During the interview, both of them were asked a similar question, which made them burst into laughter. When on camera, they were questioned: "Final match, you perform, what's happening?"

As both Narine and Russell could barely control their laughter and laughed continuously after the question was asked. Andre Russell later responded with "What do you mean?" as he wasn't able to stop chuckling.

Interestingly, this was in reference to the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) in 2023, when both Russell and Narine, alongside Moeen Ali, were involved in the BPL.

Playing for the Comilla Victorians in the final of the league, where they helped lift their side the BPL title.

Following this, a reporter came and asked both of them about the win, but in an unfluent English manner, saying, "Final match, you perform, what's happening?"  To which all three of them didn't understand at first, but later replied whatever they could.

This later became a golden meme, and both of them were asked about it time and again after they won their respective titles in the world. In fact, this question has been used after almost every time a team wins the title.

As for the final, the Guyana Amazon Warriors were only able to manage 130 on the board after the conclusion of the 20 overs, where Saurabh Netravalkar picked three wickets, while Akeal Hosein grabbed two in his spell.

In reply, they finished the chase in just 18 overs with three wickets to spare, courtesy of the all-round batting effort, with cameos coming from every batter, especially Kieron Pollard, who scored 21 off 12 deliveries, while Sunil Narine, 22 off 17, helped them further.
