In a significant development, Cricket West Indies (CWI) unveiled formidable squads for the upcoming tour of Bangladesh. The Men in Maroon will travel to the South Asian nation to play six white-ball matches, equally distributed across the ODI and T20I formats. Former under19 captain Ackeem Auguste has earned his maiden ODI call-up, replacing experienced opener Evin Lewis, who misses out on selection due to injury.

22-year-old top-order batter Ackeem Auguste has played three T20Is, scoring 73 runs at an average of 36.5 and a strike rate of 128.07. The upcoming Bangladesh tour will mark his maiden appearance in the One-Day Internationals as he comes in for injured batter Evin Lewis.
Meanwhile, left-arm spin-bowling allrounder Khary Pierre has received a recall into West Indies' T20I setup to strengthen the visitors' spin bowling department. The pitches in Bangladesh generally assist the spinners; so Pierre's inclusion could certainly help the tourists challenge the home side with their spin attack.
Left-handed batter Alick Athanaze has been added to both ODI and T20I squads. Meanwhile, young left-arm pacer Ramon Simmonds makes it into the T20I setup.
