The BCCI Central Contract list is almost finalised and will be released in a few days. Players will get their salaries according to the Grades they will be put in, but reports have already started to circulate related to which player will be put in which BCCI Central Contract category.

As per reports, the golden trio of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah will continue to be in the Grade A+ category and will earn the highest amongst all the Indian players. However, eyebrows have been raised as Grade A+ category has players who play all three formats (Tests, ODIs and T20Is), but Rohit and Kohli retired from T20Is last year.

Why Kohli, Rohit are in Grade A+ category?

Historically the BCCI's A+ category is reserved for players who play all three formats, but Kohli and Rohit only play two formats. So, why are they getting this privilege?. Reports state that both the batters are highly respected in the Indian cricket circuit and they are big players and will be accorded the respect they deserve.

So, in A+ category, Bumrah is the only player who is a part of all three formats India play. The players in this section will earn 7 crores annually.

Other big names included in the BCCI contract

As per reports, Shreyas Iyer is set to get back his BCCI contract which he lost last year due to disciplinary reasons. Iyer was the star for India in the Champions trophy and is set to be rewarded by the board.

Also, Abhishek Sharma, the aggressive batter is likely to be included in the C category of the BCCI Contract list.
