In an interesting turn of events, Virat Kohli was recently spotted at Mumbai airport, leaving for Bangalore to feature in the series finale versus Afghanistan, but his trip has managed to raise many eyebrows.

It's Kohli's presence at the Mumbai airport that took the fans by surprise. The batter was supposed to be with the rest of the squad in Indore, wherein the second T20 game of the series took place on Sunday.

In the world of modern cricket, where players' movements are often tracked by fans through various channels, updates like these contribute to the narrative surrounding the team.

Kohli's departure becomes a talking point, generating anticipation and discussions among supporters about the player's whereabouts and reasons behind his absence from the rest of the Indian contingent.

However, it seems Kohli took a flight back home in between the gap and has now rejoined the squad ahead of the third T20I. A picture of him having dinner with teammate Shreyas Iyer has also been doing rounds on social media.

Interestingly, Virat Kohli also missed the first game of the series held in Mohali, citing personal reasons. That being said, it's still unclear what forced Kohli to take a trip back home ahead of the series finale.

Nonetheless, Virat Kohli adhered to his commitment amid a tight schedule and will don national colors in his second home in Bangalore. It goes without saying that the Bangalore crowd will throng the Chinnaswamy stadium to witness RCB homeboy Kohli in action as he takes on the Afghans.

Moreover, Kohli has a terrific record in batting-friendly venues. Thus, fireworks from the batter's willow cannot be ruled out.

The third and final T20I of the bilateral series between India and Afghanistan will be played on Wednesday at Bangalore at 7.00 pm IST.
