On the eve of the much-anticipated India versus Sri Lanka World Cup match scheduled for November 2, a momentous occasion unfolded as a life-size statue of the cricket legend, Sachin Tendulkar, was unveiled at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on November 1, 2023.
Tendulkar, celebrated as one of the greatest cricketers of all time, has always been known not only for his cricketing prowess but also for his kindness and humble demeanor.
On the day of his statue's unveiling, he once again exemplified his warm-hearted nature by taking time to interact with fans. Tendulkar graciously gave an autograph and spent time with a specially abled fan named Sudhir Kumar upon his arrival at the Wankhede Stadium for the statue inauguration.
This heartwarming interaction touched the hearts of fans, and a video capturing this special moment quickly went viral across various social media platforms.

Expressing his feelings during the statue unveiling ceremony, Sachin Tendulkar remarked,
"Life has come full circle for me at Wankhede, which has been witness to some very special moments. When the Mumbai Cricket Association suggested that my statue be erected at Wankhede, I was pleasantly surprised."
The Wankhede Stadium holds a special place in Tendulkar's heart, as it is the very ground where he marked numerous significant milestones in his cricketing journey. It was at Wankhede Stadium that Sachin fulfilled a lifelong dream by helping India lift the World Cup, an unforgettable highlight of his legendary career.
