Rohit Sharma-led India registered a historic T20 World Cup win in Barbados with a seven-run win over South Africa. The victory is an emotional one for all Indian cricket fans and in this moment of glory, the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also congratulated Rohit Sharma and co. in a special message on his official X handle.

In the video, Modi first congratulated team India on behalf of 140 Crore Indians and applauded the character shown by the team throughout the course of the tournament. He also credited Team India for being unbeaten in the competition, and added that it is a proud moment for every single Indian.

Talking about the match, it was a roller-coaster of a ride. It started with India winning the toss and electing to bat first. India lost three wickets early in the Powerplay, but Virat Kohli and Axar Patel brought them back on track and India eventually ended with 176 on the board. Virat Kohli top-scored with 76 and then on the bowling front, India got two wickets early in the Powerplay.

However, the South African middle order delivered big time, and at one point in time, they just needed 26 off 24 balls. It was then that Hardik got the wicket of Klaasen and momentum changed as India ended with a win in the final over.
