After four four-day extended stay in Barbados, World Cup winners returned to the country on July 4, where they received a grand welcome in the national capital.

It was a hectic but emotional day for the players and Indian fans, as the World Cup-winning squad met the PM in New Delhi and then flew to Mumbai for a victory parade from Marine Drive to Wankhede. 

The celebrations are far from over, as the star players are also receiving a thunderous welcome as they return to their homes. In the latest events, T20 World Cup 2024's ' Player of the Tournament' Jasprit Bumrah received a royal welcome as he returned to his home in Ahmedabad. 

In the video, he first hugged his mother and was showered with 'rose petals' from the residents of his locality. He then gracefully clicked pictures and signed Indian jersey.

Bumrah won the player of the Tournament award as he took 15 wickets in the tournament and most importantly, he striked in clutch situations. Even in the final, he brought back India in the game when South Africa were sailing towards an easy win. 

Other than Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh and Mohammed Siraj also received grand welcome in their respective cities.
