Pakistan captain Babar Azam flew his way to Ahmedabad from Hyderabad via a private jet for the Captains’ Day Meeting on October 4. The cricketer arrived in India for the 2023 World Cup last week and had set his base in Hyderabad for Pakistan’s twin warm-up fixtures and tournament opener.

However, captains of all 10 sides are slated to gather in Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on October 4 for media interactions and photo sessions.

Babar Azam was seen getting into a private jet in Hyderabad to make his way to the Ahmedabad airport for the Captains’ Day Meet. Upon his arrival in Ahmedabad, the batting legend took time to pose for selfies with fans before eventually making his way to the hotel.

The Pakistan skipper received a lukewarm welcome inside the premises, where he even caught up with Indian captain Rohit Sharma. The two cricketers were seen sharing a seemingly friendly conversation with each other.

Babar Azam slapped scores of 80 and 90 against New Zealand and Australia respectively in Pakistan’s two World Cup 2023 warm-up matches in Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

The iconic venue will also host Pakistan’s opening match of the tournament against Netherlands, set to be played on October 6.

However, the most-anticipated World Cup 2023 match-up involving Pakistan remains their forthcoming bout against arch-rivals and tournament hosts India. The two titans have a meeting scheduled for October 14 at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
