Warwickshire vs Nottinghamshire

Result: Warwickshire won by 1 run

A rain-truncated match between Warwickshire and Nottinghamshire Outlaws proved to be a last-ball thriller, with the former emerging victorious by one run. However, the Edgbaston crowd witnessed some action-packed drama, particularly in the final over, as the home side managed to eke out a one-run win.

Put into bat, Warwickshire did not have a great start to the 8-overs a side match. Matthew Carter dismissed Paul Stirling on the very first ball of the innings. Chris Benjamin scored 36 off 17 balls and was well-supported by other batters as Warwickshire pushed the score past 90.

Nottinghamshire, too, lost opener, Joe Clark, on a golden duck. However, his opening partner, Alex Hales, looked in the mood to chase down the target. He blasted a quickfire thirty off nine balls, with four sixes and a four.

However, Lintott dismissed him and another set batter, Ben Duckett, in the same over to dent Notts' hopes. Bowling the final over, Craig Miles even dished out a beamer with six runs required off the last ball. However, he followed it up with a picture-perfect yorker as Notts' batter Tom Moores could only dig it out for a single.

Brief Scores: Warwickshire 97/5 in 8 overs (Chris Benjamin 36, Samit Patel 2/12) defeated Nottinghamshire 97/4 in 8 overs (Alex Hales 30, Jacob Benedict Lintott 2/6) by one run (DLS method)

Durham vs Northamptonshire

Result: Northamptonshire won by 4 wickets

Chris Lynn's 61 starred in Northamptonshire Steelbacks' four-wicket victory over Durham as they registered their third win in six games.

Durham had won the toss and elected to bat first. However, they lost two wickets in the powerplay, which thwarted their chances of posting a massive total. Nevertheless, opener Graham Clark made 44 off 34 balls. His knock was instrumental in Durham managing to post a respectable total.

Steelbacks did not have a smooth run with the chase, with Andrew Tye snaring three wickets for Durham. However, Chris Lynn held one end till 13.2 overs to help his side win the contest. His 61 came off 47 balls and was studded with five fours and two sixes.

Brief Scores: Northamptonshire 158/6 in 19.3 overs (Chris Lynn 61, Andrew Tye 3/28) defeated Durham 154/8 in 20 overs (Graham Clark 44, Graeme White 3/14) by four wickets

Worcestershire vs Leicestershire

Result: Leicestershire won by 26 runs

Worcestershire Rapids slumped to their fifth defeat as Leicestershire Foxes defeated them by 26 runs. Afghanistan's Naveen-ul-Haq displayed top-notch pace bowling as he claimed a fifer and gave away only eleven runs in his quota of four overs.

Needing 163 to win, the Moeen Ali-led side found no answers to Naveen's accurate bowling. None of the Rapids' batters came forward to take on the challenge heads on. Ed Barnard was the top-scorer for Worcestershire with 27 off 25 balls.

Earlier, a proper team effort from the Foxes allowed them to register 162/6 in 20 overs. Rishi Patel's 37 and Aaron Lilley's 32 were the most significant contributions with the bat for the winning side.

Brief Scores: Leicestershire 162/6 in 20 overs (Rishi Patel 37, Aaron Lilley 32) defeated Worcestershire 136/10 in 19 overs (Ed Barnard 27, Naveen ul Haq 5/11) by 26 runs
