One of the most lethal new-ball bowlers, Pakistan Shaheen Shah Afridi is not having the best of times lately, having claimed just six wickets in his last five One-Day appearances.

Afridi's form will be crucial for Pakistan in their high-voltage encounter against India, which will take place tomorrow at Ahmedabad in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. Several reports have suggested that Afridi's lack of performance is due to a finger injury, which now as per Cricket Pakistan is fully healed.

As per sources, Afridi is raring to take the field against India and perform to his best, which is picking wickets upfront. The report states that the left-arm pacer picked up an injury during Pakistan's Asia Cup 2023 match against India, where his finger swelled up, which now is completely healed and shows no pain.

Heading into the WC 2023, Afridi did claim four wickets against India in a group encounter in Asia Cup 2023.

In the WC so far, the Lahore Qalandars captain has picked just two wickets in as matches, at an unimpressive average of 51.50, raising concerns. Afridi against India in ODIs, holds a decent record, claiming five wickets in three matches.

With Afridi not firing, all-rounder Hasan Ali and pacer Haris Rauf have stepped up for Pakistan, picking up six and five wickets, respectively. Team Pakistan will have their final practice session before the high-profile encounter tomorrow at Narendra Modi Stadium today between 2 PM and 5 PM.
