The second day of the Senior Women’s T20 competition saw some enthralling performances by the ladies. And, just like the numero uno day, Day 2 was all about the stylish Kiran Navgire of Nagaland. The opener continued from where she left as he stifled the bowlers with an 81 after thumping 162* on the basal day.

Pondicherry too good for Arunachal Pradesh
Pondicherry registered their second successive win as they defeated Arunachal Pradesh by 73 runs. Choosing to bat first, Pondicherry managed 136/2 in their 20 overs. Openers BS Tamore (56) and Yuvashri (31) stitched a partnership of 97. Captain Rozario (23*) struck three boundaries to help propel the score to 136. She then continued to leave her mark in the match by scalping three crucial wickets at an economy rate of 1.67 and affecting a runout. As a result, Arunachal Pradesh crawled to 63/9, falling short by a significant margin.

Jammu & Kashmir cross the line in the final over against Mizoram
Jammu and Kashmir overcame the Mizoram challenge in a last-over thriller. Electing to bat, Mizoram did not lose many wickets but could only put 101/3 on board. Tarang Jha top-scored with 55 off 44 balls. In reply, Bawandeep Kaur (34) and Bushra Ashraf (29) put J&K on track. However, Mizoram made things enjoyable with tight bowling and wickets in a heap. Finally, however, Nadia Chowdhary ensured that J&K crossed the line.

Navgire continues to make merry as Nagaland thump Manipur
Manipur won the toss and chose to bat, but Nagaland had their homework done. Only one batter managed to get into the double scores as Manipur stuttered t0 91/9 in 20 overs. In reply, Kiran Navgire came out all guns blazing. She single-handedly helped Nagaland scale down the target in just 11.5 overs. Navigre’s unbeaten knock of 81 included a stunning nine fours and six sixes.
